Sophomore Selected as Conference Carolinas Volleyball Player of the Week
Biology student Elizabeth Yohe ’22 has been chosen as the Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week. This is her first time earning the award while at Converse.
The league office made the official announcement on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019. A defensive specialist, Yohe averaged an impressive 7.63 digs per set in two Converse conference victories. She had 28 digs in Converse’s 3-0 win over Chowan on Oct. 18 before collecting 37 digs in Converse’s thrilling 3-2 win over Barton at home on Oct. 19. The sophomore had a total of 65 digs on the week.
The Summerville, S.C. native leads all in Conference Carolinas and is presently in the top-15 in the country for total digs on the year with 421 on the 2019 season. Conference Carolinas has a rich tradition in roots that dates back to its early initial inception on Dec. 6, 1930.
