#3 Converse Defeats #6 St. Andrews

Spartanburg, SC — Third seeded Converse College fought off a St. Andrews comeback to win 3-2 (30-19, 30-26, 25-30, 25-30, 20-18) to advance to the CVAC Tournament Semi-finals. The All-Stars will face Limestone College in the second semi-final match. With the loss, St. Andrews finishes the season at 19-19.

Converse was led offensively by Monica Wallace with 16 kills. Lauren Mueller had 15 and Melanie Wallace added 13 kills. Brittney Ogez dished out 48 assists. She also had 3 aces. The Wallace sister each had 2 aces. Melanie Wallace led the team with 24 digs. Sally Crossley and Monica Wallace added 21 and 19 digs respectively. At the net, Converse was led by Mueller with 5 blocks. Sarah Javdan-Inaloo added 4 blocks.

The Knights were led Jesi Bewley with 15 kills. Lindsey Stansbury and Tara Lemieux each added 14 kills as well. Kim Harper had 46 assists and Lauren McManus added 3. Stansbury led the team in digs with 34 followed by McManus with 29. Harper added 24 digs. Bewley also led the team in blocks with 9. Galina Podolsky had 5 blocks and Harper added 4. Harper also led the team with 4 aces. Stansbury, Lemieux, and Podolsky all had one ace a piece.
