All-Stars fall just short against WV State

Institute, WV – Converse fell behind by as many as 14 in the second half but rallied to within 4 points with under a minute to go only to fall just short of an amazing comeback on the road Sunday afternoon against West Virginia State. The All-Stars would eventually lose 72-66 although outscoring their opponents 40-37 in the second half.

Lauren Mueller (Foley, AL) backed up her previous days effort of 27 points with a soild 17 and was joined by Junior Blake Hallman (Rock Hill, SC) who had a season-high 12 points for the All-Stars. Mueller was everywhere on defense with 12 recounds, 2 steals and 1 block in the losing effort.

The All-Stars fall to 2-10 on the season and now break for Xmas before returning to action at the USC Upstate tournament on December 28-29 when they will take on the host school Wednesday.
