Converse Soccer ties Chowan on the road

Spartanburg, SC – The Converse All-Stars dominated the second half and both overtime periods but couldn’t quite finish the job against Chowan College Saturday. After giving up a goal with three minutes to go in the first half against the run of play, the All-Stars rallied through Mendy Dillard (Enoree, SC) and her second goal of the season only 8 minutes into the second half.

From that point on Converse had numerous chances to win the game through various players but fell just short. The backline of Converse was superb throughout with Sarah Schiff (McConnells, SC) having her best game of the year and Blake Hallman (York, SC) fighting sickness to keep at bay the dangerous attacks from out wide.

Converse now rides a three game unbeaten streak into this Wednesday’s home game against CVAC rival Coker at 4pm
