All-Stars finish third in tough conditions

Belmont Abbey, NC – The Converse All-Stars fought their way to a third place finish on a wet course Saturday at the Belmont Abbey Invitational in North Carolina. The All-Stars would be led by Mary Cloonan (Spartanburg, SC) who finished in 6th place and ran a season best time of 21:03 in the difficult conditions.

The All-Stars had 5 runners in the top 25 and finished narrowly behind fellow CVAC team Barton College and the eventual winner Carson Newman College. The All-Stars now take a week off in preparation for the CVAC Conference meet which will be held October 21st on the campus of Anderson College.
