All-Stars cruise past Trojans

Spartanburg, SC – With solid contributions from all six starters, the Converse Volleyball team defeated CVAC opponent Anderson College in three straight sets Wednesday night in the Hannah Gymnasium. After holding off strong runs in the first two sets from the Trojans, the All-Stars would storm home convincingly to take the match 3-0 (30-25, 30-28, 30-13).

For the All-Stars, freshman Elizabeth Roberds (Savannah, GA) turned in a strong defensive effort with 21 digs, Leslie Shain (Joliet, IL) recorded 5 aces and Sarah Javdan-Inalloo (Pickens, SC) had three blocks in the win.

With the win Converse improves to 17-11 (9-6 CVAC) while the loss drops Anderson to 12-17 (7-8 CVAC).

The All-Stars next game is at St. Andrews this Saturday while Anderson returns home to face Coker Friday.
