Spartanburg, SC – The All-Stars scored their fourth consecutive win with a hard fought three-set victory over visiting Mars Hill. Converse would see the first two sets continue past 30 but still win them and finalize the deal with a slightly easier third set. The All-Stars triumphed 3-0 (34-32, 31-39 and 30-26).
Once again the All-Stars would be led by Lauren Mueller (Foley, AL) with 16 kills and a .464 hitting percentage to compliment her 5 blocks. Leslie Shain (Joliet, IL) would add 4 aces and Brittney Ogez (Tulsa, OK) 33 assists as Converse continued its success of late.
Although Mars Hill left with a loss, their libero Tiffany Oreka recorded an impressive 35 digs to cap a fine defensive effort for her team. Converse now improves to 12-10 on the season and looks to be hitting top gear as they head in the decisive portion of their schedule.
This weekend Converse hosts CVAC powerhouses Lees McRae on Saturday and Mt. Olive on Sunday with both games at 2pm in the Hannah Gymnasium.
