Cross Country All-Stars Ranked 6th

The Converse Cross Country team received an unprecedented 6th place rank in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings released Sept. 27. After their first ever foray into the rankings last week, the All-Stars, led by Head Coach Robin Tarpinian and star freshman Betsy Ruppert (Wapakineta, OH), jumped two places to number six while preparing for the Lees McRae Invitational this weekend in Banner Elk, NC.

The All-Stars are still yet to field a full strength team with several runners returning from injury and the freshmen class adjusting to the rigors of college athletics and Converse looks to be one of the favorites to clinch the CVAC title in its first year in the conference.
