Converse Volleyball makes history
Spartanburg, SC – The Converse College Volleyball team made school history with the first CVAC Conference win against Limestone Saturday. The All-Stars triumphed with a thrilling five set victory 21-30, 30-19, 30-25, 27-30, 15-6.
The win was the first for Converse in any sport after joining the prestigious conference and finally announced the arrival of the All-Stars after near victories in soccer and earlier volleyball games.
The All-Stars would be led by Sarah Javdan-Inalloo (Pickens, SC) who had 11 kills with an impressive .409 hitting percentage and Brittney Ogez (Tulsa, OK) who contributed 42 assists to the cause. The All-Stars were led by a potent offense that included five players with double digit kills and they needed every one of those kills in the five-set marathon.
Converse returned to the court at 3pm Saturday to play Livingstone College, Limestone’s next opponent at 1pm the same day.
