All-Stars head to Savannah this weekend

Spartanburg, SC – The Converse tennis team will head to Savannah, GA this weekend to copete in the ITA Mid-Atlantic Tennis Regional for the ITA’s Small College National Championships. On the heels of an impressive first outing against Anderson College last week, the All-Stars will look to build on their positive start to the season.

The number one singles position will again be held by Tina Rohner followed by Ive Jardim, Carolyn Summerell, Mary Linton Smith, Virginia Jones and Taylor Ebel. In the doubles play, Converse will partner up Ive Jardim/Carolyn Summerell, Tina Rohner/Virginia Jones, and Mary Linton Smith/Taylor Ebel as they make a run at the early season title.

With a strong field of over 20 teams competing, Coach Wanda Copeland is looking for a good showing as all of Converse’s players as they are all competing in the “Flight A” main draw.
