All-Star Volleyball Signs First Athlete

Coach Tara Brooks has gotten her first NLI signee for the 2005-2006 season.

Elizabeth Roberds has signed to join the women’s volleyball team at Converse College. Ranked number three in her class, she has been awarded a Trustee’s Scholarship for academic achievement as well as a volleyball scholarship.

Elizabeth has played volleyball for seven years at Savannah Preparatory School (SCPS) (including Middle School), serving as co-captain in her senior year. She was selected to the All-Coastal Empire Volleyball 2nd team as a junior and 1st team as a senior. She won awards for Best Offense and Best Serving for the 2004 season. She will add depth in both the outside hitter and middle positions.

She is the daughter of Willie and Deborah Roberds of Savannah, GA.
