St. Andrews Downs Converse 71-63

Converse fought hard but were just outplayed in the game on Saturday.

Converse stayed in the game with 27-of-55 (49.1%) shooting and only trailed 34-33 at halftime. The Knights only shot 21-of-61 (36.1%) from the field. The All-Stars also out rebounded St. Andrews 40-32. The Knights made up for it with nine steals on 19 Converse turnovers.

Mandy Coltrain led the Knights with 18 points, three steals and two assists. Ashley Mitchell bucketed 12 and grabbed three rebounds.

Melissa Ballard finished with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the All-Stars while Olivia Freda and Lauren Mueller added 11 and 10, respectively. Melissa Bunce pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

Converse, now 2-18, will be back in action on Tuesday February 8th when they play host to North Greenville at 7pm
