Eagles Beat All-Stars 71-32
The All-Stars suffered another loss on Saturday, falling to the Eagles of North Carolina Central University 71-32.
NCCU’s King finished with game-highs of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while junior guard Porschia Holmes was the Lady Eagles only other double-figure scorer with 17 points.
Converse was led by senior guard Melissa Ballard with eight points, while senior center Melissa Bunce contributed seven points and four rebounds.
NCCU held a 39-12 advantage at intermission after the All-Stars shot just 5-for-28 from the field (17.9 percent) in the opening 20 minutes. The Lady Eagles forced Converse into 30 turnovers resulting in 28 points.
The All-Stars, now 2-14 on the season, will host Wingate University on Monday January 24th at 7pm.
