Converse Volleyball Returns From Puerto Rico
Despite an exciting trip to Puerto Rico, Converse was unable to post any wins in their contests. Converse played UPR-Rio Piedras twice, UPR-Mayaguez, and UPR-Bayamon during their stay.
In their first match against UPR-Rio Piedras, Converse lost 3-0 with game scores of 16-30, 15-30, 16-30. Lauren Mueller led in kills with 6, Brittney Ogez led in assists with 15, and Leslie Shain led in digs with 5 defensive digs.
In their second match against UPR-Mayaguez, Converse was defeated 3-0 with game scores of 19-30, 17-30, and 23-30. Leslie Shain led in kills with 7 kills, Brittney Ogez led in assists with 15 assists, and Leslie Shain led in digs with 9 defensive digs.
In their third match against UPR-Bayamon, Converse was defeated 3-1 with game scores of 24-30, 28-30, 30-27, and 23-30. Lauren Mueller led in kills with 19, Brittney Ogez led in assists with 33, Baye Williamson led in digs with 22, and Lauren Mueller also posted 11 blocks.
In their final matchup against UPR-Rio Piedras, converse was down 3-0 again with game scores of 17-30, 17-30, and 24-30. Sarah Javdan-Inalloo led in kills with 8, Brittney Ogez led assists with 20, and Baye Williamson led digs with 10.
The All Stars are back in action on Tuesday October 12 when they travel to Spartanburg Methodist College for a game at 6pm.
