Converse Triumphs over Brevard in Soccer, 6-1

There was no stopping Converse as they rolled to a 6-1 win over Brevard. Taking only 10 shots on goal, Converse converted on six of those shots. Kristin Stankus scored in the 24th minute on a cross to the upper 90. Ashley Carry score Converse’s second goal at 20:59, and Sam Chapman went one on one with Brevard goalie Ashley Curtis to score at 20:35. Brevard’s Guinn Hinman scored the only goal for her team at 17:01. Paige Kohler scored an open goal at 8:06 to boost the lead to 4-1 at the half. >

Converse scored twice more in the second half, with the first goal coming from Sam Chapman, who went one on one with the goalie for her second goal of the day, with 6:25 to go in the game. Samoria Roundtree finished the job for Converse by scoring with 3:02 left to play.

Converse is back in action on Thursday when they host the ladies of Presbyterian College at 4pm.
