Melissa Bunce Named Player Of The Week

Melissa Bunce was named Spartanburg Tip-Off Player of the week. Bunce is a junior center/forward from Cartersville, Georgia. She averaged 25.6 points in three games. She scored a career-high 29 points with 10 rebounds and three steals for the All-Stars when they defeated Montreat College. Bunce then scored 31 points (9-for-11 shooting) in a loss to North Greenville and 17 points in a close defeat to Presbyterian College. For the week, Bunce shot 62% from the floor and 93% from the foul line. Bunce will be honored at noon on Friday at the weekly meeting of the Tip-Off Club at the Spartanburg YMCA on Pine Street.
