Converse Falls To Pfieffer

The Converse College Tennis team dropped their second spring season game by losing to Pfeiffer 8-1. With this loss the All-Stars are now 1-1 for the spring.

In doubles action, Converse’s Tina Rohner and Sandra Diaz lost an 8-4 decision to the Falcons Nona Wagh and Leslie Watts. At number two doubles, Converse’s Danielle Beck and Christine Galop loss to Samantha Thomas and Andrea Stroys 8-1. Also in doubles action Megan Munn and Andrea Weatherman loss to Renee Spitz and Deanna Blake 8-0.

In singles play, Converse’s Tina Rohner fell to Nona Wagh (6-0, 6-0) at number one singles. At flight two, Converse’s Danielle Beck fell in two sets to Leslie Watts (6-2, 6-4). In flight three Converse’s Sandra Diaz defeated Andrea Strozs (6-4, 8-6) while at flight four Converse’s Christine Galop loss to Samantha Thomas in a tie breaker (6-3, 6-7, 10-4). In flight five Megan Munn was defeated by Renee Spitz (6-1, 6-1), and in the number six spot Andrea Weatherman was defeated by Deanna Blake (6-0, 6-0).
