Bunce Scores Career High 32 Points
Converse fell to North Greenville 88-79 Saturday in Weisiger Center. The All-Stars were tied at 10-10 in the first four minutes, but did gain the lead or tie again. The All-Stars were (12 of 27) in the first half shooting 44.4%, and (16 of 35) in the second half shooting 45.7%, while North Greenville shot (18 of 39) shooting 46.2% in the first and were (10 of 32) shooting 31.3% in the second. The free throw line presented a challenge to the All-Stars tonight as they shot only 67.7%, making only (21 of 31). In contrast the Crusaders shot 82.4% from the line, sinking (28 of 34).
For the second game in a row, Melissa Bunce had a great game scoring her career high, 32 points. She was (13 of 14) from behind the free throw line and was (9 of 11) from the field. She also pulled down two offensive rebounds and three defensive rebounds. Melissa Ballard followed Bunce with 19 points hitting (2 of 4) three-pointers. Olivia Freda also had an outstanding game hitting (7 of 17) from the field netting 15 points.
Earlana Jackson led the Crusaders with 19 points and 22 rebounds. She pulled down 17 alone in the second half.
