Ballard’s 32-point Game High Was Not Enough
Converse falls to Anderson College 103-83 Saturday afternoon in Anderson, South Carolina. The All-Stars were leading by five points with 15 minutes left in the first half, but Anderson then went on a 22-5 run. This deficit was too much for the All-Stars.
Converse started the game shooting 50% in the first half, but only shot 29% in the second half finishing the game shooting 40%. Anderson finished the game with a season-high shooting 56%. Melissa Ballard led the team with a game high of 32 points, combining 14 points from the free throw line and 18 points from the field. while Melissa Bunce scored 22 points. Lauren Mueller was one point away from her fifth double-double of the season scoring nine points and bringing down ten rebounds. The All-Stars did shoot better from the free-throw line sinking 36 of 47, shooting 76.6%.
Anderson was led by Leann Segers with 23 points.
