Converse Falls 73-54
Converse fell to Lincoln Memorial 73-54 on Monday night in Weisiger Center. The All-Stars shot 10-of 27 from the field shooting 36.7% while the Railsplitters shot 12-of 34 shooting 40.3% from the field.
The first half went back and forth with the All-Stars and the Railsplitters with six ties and eight lead changes. Melissa Bunce put the All-Stars ahead 24-19 with 4:21 left in the first half to go into half-time, however this was the last lead that the All-Stars would see. The Railsplitters went on an 18-0 run with a 35 foot three-pointer at the buzzer by LMU’s Sarah Crook.
The second half continued much like the last four minutes. The All-Stars came out very sluggish with not much confidence. This led to the 19 point loss.
Melissa Bunce led the team with 13 rebounds and was second with 17 points behind Melissa Ballard Ballard led the All-Stars with 19 points shooting (7-of 12) at 58% from the field, sinking five three-pointers. Ballard also led the All-Stars with two steals. Lillian Frazier led the way with four assists.
Hillary Ross led the Railsplitters having her 35th career double-double having 19 points and 11 rebounds.
The All-Stars will host Berry College on Wednesday night, December 17th at 6:00PM.
