All-Stars Start Regular Season Play
The Converse College Lady All-Stars will play their first regular season match this Saturday against the Erskine Flying Fleet at 2:00 pm in Tom and Tracey Hannah gym. Coach Coil is very excited about the upcoming season and her new squad this year. There are nine new freshman including Lillian Frazier from Pembroke Pines, Florida; Carolyn Ashdown from Cary, North Carolina; Olivia Freda from Hilton Head, South Carolina; Katie Holzworth from Apex, North Carolina; Briana Clark from Morganton, North Carolina; Lydia Bardin from Wilson, North Carolina; Brandi Criscitiello from Maysville, North Carolina; Lauren Mueller from Foley, Alabama; and Katie Crisp from Sylva, North Carolina. The All-Stars welcome back Melissa Bunce from Cartersville, Georgia and they return two players Melissa Ballard from Saluda, North Carolina and Birna Gudmundsdottir from Keflavik, Iceland. Lauren Mueller is now joining the basketball team after having a great career on the volleyball team. The All-Stars are expecting great things from this young but very talented team. Come support your All-Stars at their first home game of the 2003-2004 season.
