Game one of the Converse College All-Star Classic saw North Greenville take home the first victory of the tournament by defeating Limestone College by the score of 88-80 Friday night at the PAC.
In the first half, North Greenville outshot Limestone 51% – 42% from the field taking the lead 47-36 in 20 minutes of play. Shea Sims(Henderson, TN) led NGC with 10 points in the first 20 minutes of play as she racked up 15 of her game-high 31 points from behind the arc as the game closed. Joy Mitchell (Atlanta, GA) pitched in 15 points hitting 5 out of 6 attempts from the free-throw line.
Limestone was led by Shell Lowrence who went 9-for-13 from the field totaling 21 points. Also contributing was Joselyn Thomas(Orangeburg, SC) with 16 points.
The Lady Crusaders hit 51.4% in the first half going 18-35 from the field. Although NGC outscored Limestone, LC hit a game-high 48.3% vs. 47.8%.
