After more than two years of adapting to a different way of living, life on campus seemed to get back to a place of familiarity. As we near the end of 2022, let’s look back at the top 10 stories with the most views, and also look ahead to the exciting possibilities of the future as we undertake the 2023-2026 Strategic Vision Plan.
10. A New Year’s Message From Dr. Boone Hopkins: We welcomed 2022 with an inspiring video from Dr. Hopkins who lauded our students, talented faculty and staff, supportive alumni, donors, and friends.
9. Dedication and Service: The Infantry Spirit of Madison Yocklin ’22: Biology major and student-athlete, Maddie Yocklin was Converse’s second student to serve as Cadet Battalion Commander in the 102-year history of the Southern Guards Battalion U.S. Army ROTC (Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) program.
8. Converse Mourns the Passing of Dr. Thomas Reeves: A member of the Converse faculty for 19 years, Dr. Reeves served as Interim President in 2005, Assistant Professor of Religion, Converse’s Chaplain, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Vice President for Planning and Development.
