Research, Internship, and Arts Experiential Learning Symposium
Converse University’s RISE (Research, Internship, and Arts Experiential Learning) Symposium empowers students to share their ideas, discoveries and artistic work with our campus and local community within a professional setting.
Open to all undergraduates, graduates and Converse II students, the RISE symposium celebrates student scholarly activities and achievements across all areas of study at Converse University – including the arts, music, humanities, education, natural and mathematical sciences, and social and behavioral sciences. Since its founding in 2022, the RISE Symposium has seen participation triple as of 2025.
2026 RISE Symposium at Converse
RISE will be held at Converse University from April 13 – 17, 2026, with the Awards Ceremony on April 30, 2026.

April 13-17
- Photo Contest Viewing in Carmichael Hall Lobby (all day)
- Dance Poster Viewing in Wilson Hall Lobby (all day)
Tuesday, April 14
- Internship Judging in Montgomery Lobby from 11 AM – 1 PM.
Wednesday, April 15
- Creative Writing Reading in Carmichael 200 from 12 PM – 1 PM
- Graduate Poster Judging in Mickel Library 2nd Floor from 5 PM – 7 PM
Thursday, April 16
- Research and Model Program Poster Judging in Kuhn Lobby and Mickel Library 1st Floor from 11:15 AM – 1:15 PM
Friday, April 17
- Original Music Judging in Blackman Lobby from 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM
- Music Performance Competition in Daniel Recital Hall at 3:00 PM
Thursday, April 30
- Awards Ceremony and Reception in Barnet Room from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
