No classes are held today in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Campus offices are also closed.
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion, in collaboration with the University Chaplain, Director of Student Activities and Civic Engagement, and Director of First Gen Programs will be hosting a campus-wide day of service opportunity from 8 am to 4 pm.
Service opportunities will include a day at Monarch Cafe, Middle Tyger Community Soup Kitchen, and an on-campus packing party. The hope is to educate our students about what others in our community may be dealing with on a daily basis, and building those bridges to forge relationships about service and what that means to others.
