We strive to build on our campers’ budding creativity and to introduce them to new avenues of art. Our goal is to provide a personal atmosphere in which students can have fun and learn cooperatively.
We accept campers ages 4 through rising 6th grade. Three-year-olds may be admitted on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the Director for more information. Preschoolers must be able to enjoy a full day of activity without a rest period. Campers will be grouped according to school grade.
Music – Our campers will learn about the instruments, composers, and styles of music today and in years past, while maintaining interactivity with music games and activities. Each group will learn songs to perform on Family Day.
Acting – Campers practice staging, improvisation, expressing emotion, projecting voice, portraying characters, and more. Each group will prepare a skit to perform on Family Day.
Theatre Skills – Your child will experience puppetry, costume, and prop design, as well as learning about sound, lighting, and other technical theatre skills as they work behind the scenes to put on their Family Day production.
Visual Arts – Campers will participate in a variety of artistic media from around the world, including drawing, painting, sculpture, papier-mâché, and weaving, as well as learning a bit of art history along the way. Artwork will be displayed on Family Day.
Creative Writing – We make writing fun with activities that combine writing with the other arts. Campers will have the opportunity to write poetry, journals, comics, stories, songs and skits. Activities are carefully planned for younger children who are still learning to read and write. Projects will be displayed on Family Day.
Dance – Your child will learn many dance movements and styles including jazz, modern and ballet. Each group will learn a dance to perform on Family Day.
Small-Group – Each age-grouped class will have a time set aside each day to build friendships and play together. This class is devoted to craft projects, games, and other fun activities.
Family Day – Family members of all campers are invited to enjoy a program at the end of each session in which our students showcase what they have learned and created.
