Located adjacent to Pell and Dexter Halls, Converse’s Department of Campus Safety is responsible for safety, security and emergency response and aids in enforcing federal, state and College regulations.
Converse’s Campus Safety officers are on duty 24 hours a day, are licensed by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and have full authority on Converse College property. The department includes a director, three sergeants, full-time time officers and one support person.

Converse College has adopted the e2Campus Emergency Alert System in order to send urgent alerts to your mobile devices. Once you sign up for the service, you will receive information during potential emergency situations, ranging from severe weather warnings to inclement weather delays/cancellations to more critical emergency notifications. The service is available to all current students, faculty and staff.
