Dr. Park brings a wealth of experience in the field of deaf education from her years as a teacher and administrator in schools and programs serving deaf children.  During her career, she taught preschool through high school students in mainstream and residential school settings. She served in numerous administrative roles including principal, director of curriculum and instruction, and president of the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind for five years where she was responsible for the educational programs on the main campus in Spartanburg and for numerous statewide education and accessibility services.

At Converse, Dr. Park directs the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program.  This program prepares candidates to become teachers of the deaf serving children in mainstream, self-contained, or residential school programs.  Her research interests include linking the academic success of deaf children with their social and emotional needs.
