Dr. Cheser Brings Hawaii to the Classroom
Associate Professor of Education, Dr. David Wayne Cheser, spent his summer on eco-tour expeditions to the Big Island of Hawaii to study lava flows and volcanoes, climate change, and visit the Mauna Kea observatories.
Inspired by his time in Hawaii, as well as eco-tours of glaciers, glaciation, geothermal energy production and puffins breeding habitats in Alaska and Iceland, Dr. Cheser incorporated his travel experiences into classes exploring science and geography-related topics.
