Converse Professor Collaborates With Researchers
Dr. Edna Steele, Assistant Professor of Biology at Converse, is collaborating with other scientists to test the genetic adaptation of fish in the Hudson River Estuary (New York) to environmental hazards such as pollutants.
“I’m working with scientists from Harvard University, the University of Rhode Island, and the U.S. EPA Environmental Research Laboratory in Rhode Island,” explains Dr. Steele. “My primary role in the research lies in the actual examination of the live fish.”
The project is funded by a grant from the Hudson Foundation.
