The Petrie School of Music, in collaboration with Wofford College, presents Violins of Hope, a project of concerts based on a private collection of violins, violas and cellos collected since the end of World War II. All instruments belonged to Jews before and during the war, with many donated by or bought from survivors.
This event will feature a performance on the instruments by Dr. Courtney LeBauer, a guest speaker, and a special coordinating exhibit by Converse students under the supervision of Dr. Angela Esco Elder and Professor Meg Hanna Tominaga. Violins of Hope is free and open to the public.
