Founder’s Day 2026 Celebration
April 24 @ 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

Join the Converse Community to celebrate Founders Day in Twichell Auditorium. The ceremony will begin with a processional of the Senior Class, Faculty, and Platform party. The Kathryne Amelia Brown Award will be presented to a faculty member.
This year’s keynote speaker is Jody Cole ’84 of Asheville, NC, Founder of Wild Rainbow African Safaris and 2024 recipient of the Mae Elizabeth Kilgo Spirit of Converse Award for alumni.
This event will be live-streamed on Converse’s YouTube channel.
Immediately following the ceremony, attendees are invited to the traditional Founders Day lunch outside of Wilson on the Johnson Plaza to enjoy Dexter Edgar Converse’s favorite dessert, strawberries and cream.
Classes will be canceled between 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to allow for campus-wide celebrations.
Converse faculty, staff, and students can learn more about this event at my.converse.edu.
