2023 Festival of Lessons and Carols

Converse University and our broader Spartanburg community will enjoy a beautiful holiday tradition with the annual Festival of Lessons & Carols, held in Twichell Auditorium on November 30th. The prelude will begin at 7:30 pm and the official program will begin at 8:00 pm. As always, this event is free and open to the public.
The live stream will begin at 7:30 pm (EST).
Lessons and Carols has become a tradition at Converse and is a service of worship involving all segments of the local community. The festival is a customary worship that celebrates the Christmas season. Traditional Christmas carols and hymns, along with student-led scripture readings will be presented as a part of the program.
In addition to the two Christmas trees on Twichell stage, luminaries will line the front campus for the evening’s glow.
Funds collected from the sale of luminaries will go toward our Student Benevolence Fund. Luminary submissions received by Friday, November 10, 2023, will be recognized during The Festival of Lessons and Carols program.
