Rebecca Parrish ’00 joins Converse after directing grant efforts at Wofford College and Spartanburg Community College. She also brings years of experience in nonprofit program management and teaching. Rebecca graduated from Wofford College in 1999 with a BA in English and Spanish. She is also a proud graduate of Converse (2000) with a Masters of Liberal Arts in English. In writing her thesis, “Implications of the quilt metaphor in the works of Gloria Naylor and Alice Walker,” Rebecca fully realized her love for research and writing.

As Director of Institutional Grants, Rebecca will design and implement pre-award and post-award strategies and advance relationships with foundations, corporations, and government agencies. She will align with Converse’s priorities, support the Sponsored Research Office, and collaborate with Administration, Operations, Donor Relations, faculty and staff on projects and opportunities.

Originally from Lakeland, Florida, she enjoys all four seasons of upstate South Carolina with her husband Remsen and son, JR.
