As Assistant Vice President of Advancement Services, Rebecca supports donor relations and advancement services and leads institutional grant-seeking efforts. Rebecca joined Converse in 2021 after directing grant efforts at Wofford College and Spartanburg Community College. She also brings years of experience in nonprofit program management and teaching.

Rebecca graduated from Wofford College in 1999 with a BA in English and Spanish. She is a proud graduate of Converse (2000) with a Master of Liberal Arts degree in English. In writing her thesis, “Implications of the quilt metaphor in the works of Gloria Naylor and Alice Walker,” Rebecca fully realized her love for research and writing.

Rebecca (she/her) identifies as a lifelong learner, servant leader, writer, editor, researcher, relationship builder, impact-driven advocate, and ally. She is a 2023 Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation Regional Faculty/Staff Service award winner, a 2023 Dukes Family Staff awardee, and a Converse First Gen Champion.
