Rebecca Parrish
As Director of Quality Enhancement and Institutional Grants, Rebecca oversees Converse’s QEP for SACSCOC Accreditation and directs Grants and Fellowships. Rebecca joined Converse in 2021 after leading grant efforts at Wofford College and Spartanburg Community College. She has an additional 18 years of experience in nonprofit program management and teaching.
Rebecca graduated from Wofford College in 1999 with a BA in English and Spanish. She is a proud graduate of Converse (2000) with a Master of Liberal Arts degree in English. In writing her thesis, “Implications of the quilt metaphor in the works of Gloria Naylor and Alice Walker,” Rebecca fully realized her love for research and writing.
Rebecca identifies as a lifelong learner, servant leader, writer, editor, researcher, relationship builder, impact-driven advocate, and ally. She is a 2023 Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation Regional Faculty/Staff Service award winner and serves as the Sullivan Fellows Campus Liaison. Rebecca is a 2023 Dukes Family Staff awardee and a Converse First Gen Champion.
