Michelle Bowen

Michelle Bowen joined the Communications department in March of 2021 in the role of Associate Director of Marketing. After receiving a BA degree in Communication Studies at Furman University, Michelle developed creative marketing and communications content for the automotive and sports industries for over 15 years.

In 2014, she made the move to education, first joining the South Carolina Governors School for the Arts and Humanities as the Public Information Director and later serving as the Marketing and Communications Manager for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. Michelle is a member of the National Federation of Press Women, College News Association of the Carolinas, and South Carolina Women in Higher Education.

Michelle grew up in North Carolina and now lives in Greenville with her family and their lovable, high-energy retriever, Georgie – who wants a bite of everything she eats. She works diligently to make sure that sipping lattes and reading cozy mysteries in charming cafés doesn’t become her entire personality.
