Austin Weaver is a native of Hilton Head Island but moved to the West Coast to pursue his education. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, and graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in history. While at UCLA, Austin was fortunate enough to study abroad in Italy and get an internship at the Vatican Museum doing research on the sixteenth-century female artist, Artemisia Gentileschi. After graduating during the height of the pandemic, Austin returned to his southern roots and spent his time volunteering with the local historical society and sea turtle patrol.

Austin has joined Converse as an Admissions Counselor and hopes to bring a unique outside perspective to the team. Austin aims to use his experiences as a first-generation college graduate, transfer student, and Pell Grant recipient to better equip future college students at Converse and beyond. Outside of work, Austin enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and hiking with his two dogs
