Andrea Elliott

Instructor of Art Education

Andrea Elliott was born and raised in Spartanburg County. Following her high school graduation in 1999 she enrolled at Converse where her studies on campus and travel-study abroad in France inspired and shaped her work. She completed her BA in Art Education, and then a Master of Arts at Winthrop University, returning to France once again for further study in Normandy and Paris. Her work in France led to her thesis body of work in completion of her MA in Art Education.

Andrea has almost ten years’ experience as an art teacher in the public school system. She and her husband Rob have two girls, Anna Camille and Greer. She has a real passion for teaching, and when not in the classroom guiding budding art educators, she loves to spend her time painting landscapes and pet portraits, decorating, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. For this art educator, observing her student teachers in the classroom, and seeing them succeed is a wonderful, rewarding experience!
