MFA Calendar 2023-2024 Academic Year

1 December 30, 2022 Opening day of January residency session for students and faculty.
2 January 3, 2023 (noon) Last day for partial (50%) tuition refund.
3 January 8, 2023 January residency ends (departure day).
4 January 9, 2023 Financial Aid Disbursement
5 January 23, 2023 Financial Aid refunds mailed
6 January 30, 2023 First creative and critical writing packet due to faculty mentor.
7 February 15, 2023 Priority deadline new student application: Summer residency/Fall semester.
8 February 15, 2023 Suggested deadline for Financial Aid (FAFSA) application.
9 February 15, 2023 Partial tuition payment of $250 deadline for returning students (nonrefundable) to be applied toward Summer/Fall 2023 tuition. Returning students must make arrangements to meet this deadline on time or risk being unable to enroll in courses the Summer/Fall semester. The Converse Business Office will send a statement via the my.converse.edu portal in April for the remaining tuition payment due in May.
10 February 15, 2023 Deadline to request a Leave of Absence for Summer/Fall 2023
11 February 20, 2023 Second creative and critical writing packet due to faculty mentor.
12 March 13, 2023 Third creative and critical writing packet due to faculty mentor.
13 April 3, 2023 Fourth creative and critical writing packet due to faculty mentor.
14 April 3-7, 2023 Spring Break-MFA Office closed.
15 April 11, 2023 Receipt of residency housing form in MFA office. Those students choosing to live off campus and participate in campus meal plan need to return meal plan form to the MFA office.
16 April 11-14, 2023 Course Registration for Summer/Fall 2023
17 April 24, 2023 Fifth creative and critical writing packet due to faculty mentor.
18 April 27, 2023 Receipt of June residency workshop manuscript in the MFA office.
19 May 11, 2023* Deadline for full payment of Summer/Fall 2023 tuition.
20 May 15, 2023 Final assessment and grades due.
21 May 25, 2023 Deadline for full tuition refund.

24 June 1-10, 2023 June 2023 Residency (Faculty arrive May 31).
25 June 11 – August 14, 2023 Summer Break
