Blackman Music Hall is the home of the Carroll McDaniel Petrie School of Music – the nation’s only comprehensive school of music within a liberal arts college for women. The lobby of Blackman is directly outside of Daniel Recital Hall and overlooks the beautifully manicured grounds of the College. The lobby features conversational seating and houses a Steinway piano and The Winged Victory of Samothrace sculpture on long-term loan from The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s collection of plaster casts.
Parking Public parking is available in the Belk Lot located at the corner of Drayton and North Fairview Avenues, with two handicap accessible spaces located in the circular drive alongside Blackman Music Hall.
