Education Major Receives Scholarship from National Fraternity
Lindsey Parker is one of only twelve students from throughout the country to have been awarded a scholarship from Kappa Delta Epsilon (KDE) for 2003. KDE is a national professional education fraternity devoted to providing students with opportunities to further their development as future teachers.
“It was not until I worked with children that I knew the teaching profession would be my career path,” explains Lindsey, a rising Converse College junior majoring in elementary education. “As an educator, my top priority is to make a difference in children’s lives. When children enter my classroom, I want them to know that people who believe in their success will surround them.”
Lindsey is a native of Spartanburg, S.C. and a graduate of Spartanburg High School.
