Converse’s Master of Music in Music Education: Professional Practice Emphasis is offered as an online hybrid degree, combining four semesters of online coursework during the fall and spring of each academic year, with two summer residencies on our Spartanburg campus.

The Master of Music in Music Education: Professional Practice Emphasis program emphasizes meaningful learning rooted in real-world professional experience. Students work closely with faculty mentors as they complete 30 hours of graduate coursework that connects directly to their daily teaching and professional responsibilities. The program culminates in a capstone professional project or thesis that reflects the student’s area of specialization, along with an oral presentation or defense.
