Janet R. LeFrancois

Associate Professor of Psychology

Dr. LeFrancois graduated with a BA in psychology from Converse College and a MA and PhD in psychology from West Virginia University. During that time, Dr. LeFrancois received the outstanding graduate teaching assistant award and the valued friend award from the university’s minority students organization. She did research in the area of behavior analysis which resulted in several publications and an invitation to participate in a symposium on verbal behavior held in Bad Kreuznach, Germany.

At Converse, she teaches General Psychology, Psychology of Women, Psychology of the Workplace, Health Psychology, and History and Philosophy of Psychology.

Dr. Lefrancois is a certified Iyengar yoga instructor, she also teaches yoga and stress management, as well as beginning yoga for Converse undergraduates. This interest has led her to research the effects of yoga and sleep.
