Craig has degrees in trumpet performance from Yale University School of Music (MM) and Furman University (BM) and currently as a freelancer performs regularly with the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, GAMAC Orchestra, West End Brass Quintet and GSO Brass Quintet, as well as the South Carolina Philharmonic, Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and Greenville Jazz Collective.

Past highlights include performances at Avery Fisher Hall at New York City’s Lincoln Center, with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra, Broadway shows on local stops, Ringling Bros Circus, Johnny Mathis, Edwin McCain, Bela Fleck, and opening act for Wilco.

In addition to his trumpet studio at Converse, Craig also teaches at the Lawson Academy of the Arts and North Greenville University, where he directs the NGU jazz band and jazz combo. As a recording artist and composer, he recently released his nine-song album Blue Metropolis on CD and vinyl. His off time is spent as a portrait artist and aspiring pizza baker.
