A season finale unlike any other as The Philharmonic partners with Spartanburg County Public Libraries to celebrate their new planetarium, set to open in the Spring of 2025. This special occasion will feature the world premiere of a commissioned piece by our local composer-in-residence, Peter B. Kay, created especially for this momentous event. To cap off this celestial celebration, we will embark on a musical journey through the cosmos with Gustav Holst’s timeless masterpiece, “The Planets.” Prepare to be enchanted by a night of music that blends art and science in perfect harmony, promising a memorable and celestial experience.
