”Kinesis” is Galan Trio’s (Greece) attempt to explore the music of contemporary American composers by bringing their works together in an original, multifaceted concert program. Kinesis is an undirected movement of a cell, organism or part, in response to an external stimulus – in Greek, Kinesis means “movement, motion.” The project is a collaboration between Galan Trio and professors of composition from selected US Universities, including Dr. Scott Robbins from the Converse University Petrie School of Music.
