Charles Clary currently lives and works in Conway, South Carolina, where he is an Associate Professor of Studio Art and Foundations Coordinator at Coastal Carolina University. His latest work will be featured in Memento Morididdle in the Milliken Art Gallery beginning January 9, 2025. Speaking of this body of work, Clary states, “(My parents) passing left a deep void in my life that led to my interest in Memento Mori, or the act of coming to terms with one’s own mortality. Through this investigation, I came to terms with the trauma of my childhood and the lack of memories I actually have.”
