2021 ‘Girls Who Code’ Club Weekly Meeting

November 22, 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Free
Girls who clode club Converse Spartanburg

Calling all Middle and High School Students! Converse’s Math and Computer Science Department is excited to announce their participation in hosting a Girls Who Code Club.

This Club is designed to promote coding skills in girls in grades 6-12 and is FREE to all participants. No coding experience is required! Participants will work together to design a project using the skills they learn through each Girls Who Code session.

Our club will be held online for the foreseeable future due to physical distancing practices. We will meet virtually to complete the same activities. Our meetings will be held weekly on Monday evening from 4:30 pm- 5:30 pm starting October 4, 2021.

What to Expect:

Students will get to know one another, learn about women who have influenced the world of technology, learn about coding, build a team project throughout the club, and encourage one another. Once a student is registered for our club through Girls Who Code HQ, they will have access to the free curriculum. To see examples of completed projects from other Girls Who Code Clubs, check out https://hq.girlswhocode.com/project-gallery.
