Dr. Moloud Nasiri joined Converse University in 2024 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Specializing in Human-Computer Interaction, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality. Dr. Nasiri’s work focuses on the development and application of immersive technologies, with an emphasis on enhancing user experience in virtual environments.

Before joining Converse, Dr. Nasiri was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Florida Polytechnic University, where she taught courses in Operating Systems, Object-Oriented Programming, and Artificial Intelligence. She holds a Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing from Clemson University, where she has developed expertise in VR development and has contributed to several projects and publications in the field. She has contributed to projects like exploring near-field size perception of tangibles in VR and the effects of prior VR experience on navigation in immersive environments.

Originally from Tehran, she holds advanced Computer Science and Computer Engineering degrees from institutions such as Clemson University and Azad University. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Nasiri has earned recognition for her research, teaching, and leadership.
