Karen Medlin is a Spartanburg native. She began her academic career at Converse University before completing her BS in Multidisciplinary Studies from Liberty University. She came to us from Winthrop University, after serving as the Test Center Operations Manager in the Office of Accessibility for the last five years.

At Converse, she is the Case Manager for Student Accessibility Services and Title IX Deputy Coordinator. She has a passion for working with students with disabilities and wants to ensure they have equal access to all aspects of campus life. Her goal is to teach them advocacy, accountability, and self-compassion. She is also an SCAHEAD member.

She and her husband just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary and have three daughters. She enjoys cooking and Thai food is her absolute favorite. When she isn’t quilting, you can usually find her curled up with a good book next to one of her cats.
